Zeds Earthmoving is looking for a young, enthusiastic and hardworking person who wants to build a career in the earthmoving and civil construction industry.
This is an entry-level role suited to someone who may have little or no industry experience but is mechanically minded, enjoys working outdoors and is genuinely keen to learn.
We aren't looking for someone who already knows everything. We're looking for someone with the right attitude who wants to learn.
What You'll Learn
Working alongside experienced operators and supervisors, you'll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of earthmoving and civil construction, including:
- Excavator, skid steer, loader and other machinery operation
- Truck driving and plant transport
- Site preparation and general earthworks
- Civil construction
- Reading and interpreting construction plans
- Understanding site levels, grades and falls
- GPS and machine-control technology
- Basic surveying and set-out
- Machine maintenance and daily checks
- Working safely around heavy machinery
- How earthmoving projects are planned and completed from start to finish
The goal is to develop the right person from a labouring/trainee position into a competent machine operator and valuable long-term member of our team.

A current driver's licence is essential. Any previous exposure to machinery, trucks, construction, farming, mechanical work or similar environments is a bonus.
