About the role

This role requires you to be on the tools, leading in the field. You will have autonomy to run your own jobs day-to-day, diagnosing tricky issues on the spot while coaching, mentoring, and instructing junior staff. The work is a majority domestic/residential mix, with occasional and growing commercial jobs. You'll be the main contact for the field crew, handling about 90% of everyday trade queries independently, with the Director available to back you up.

Key responsibilities

- Lead field operations and step in as 2IC to the Director

- Diagnose and resolve plumbing and gas fitting issues on site

- Coach, mentor, and instruct junior staff

- Run jobs autonomously day-to-day across general, renovation, and emergency plumbing and gas fitting services

- Organise materials efficiently to reduce extra trips to suppliers

- Schedule smaller jobs for yourself and juniors

- Manage company stock

- Handle AroFlo job management system, compile quoting information, check labour/materials, and complete digital reporting

- As we grow, you will respond to calls and messages via our business number (your personal number won't be used)

- Take occasional photos and short videos of work for marketing purposes

- Overtime and/or future on-call rostering available

About you

- 10+ years post-apprenticeship trade experience preferred, with a proven track record running jobs and supervising site staff

- Broad knowledge across main plumbing services required





- Valid BPC plumbing registration/licence covering core classes (Water, Sanitary, Drainage, Gasfitting, and Roofing)

- Hold Construction Induction White Card & High-Risk Work Licence

- Polite, confident, and highly competent presence when facing customers

- Solid digital skills to handle job management systems and digital reporting

- Driven, motivated, calm, and constructive mentor

- Comfortable taking photos and short videos of work for business promotion

- Base salary $120,000 – $140,000 + Superannuation (negotiable based on experience and BPC registration classes)
