About the role

Bilco Group Pty Ltd. is seeking an experienced Leading Hand/Construction Supervisor to join our team and lead our construction projects.

As Construction

Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing, coordinating and overseeing all aspects of construction projects on site, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance and timely project delivery. This role is pivotal to the success of our operations and requires a skilled professional who can manage teams, maintain high standards and lead by example.

Key responsibilities

- Lead/Supervise and direct construction workers and tradespeople on site, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and to specification
- Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, site activities and resource allocation to maintain project timelines
- Monitor quality of work and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and company standards
- Conduct toolbox meetings and inductions to communicate site procedures, safety requirements and project objectives
- Perform carpentry work on site together with review of completed work and address any deficiencies or non-conformances promptly
- Maintain accurate site records, documentation and progress reports for management review
- Liaise with site managers, clients and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Identify and resolve on-site issues and implement corrective actions as required
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to and maintain a safe working environment
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and apprentices on site

About you





- Min 5 years of proven experience as a Leading Hand/Construction Supervisor in residential, commercial or civil construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations and industry best practices
- Carpenter by trade
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct diverse teams
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
- Sound understanding of project timelines, budgeting and resource management
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) and relevant qualifications or certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions and take ownership of outcomes
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance procedures and incident reporting
