Morson Edge is currently looking for an experienced Leading Hand Formwork Carpenter to join an established formwork contractor on a live high-rise project in South Brisbane.

This is an immediate start for a strong Formwork Carpenter who can assist the Foreman with the day-to-day running of the site, direct a crew and remain hands-on with formwork when required.

The Role

- Assist the Foreman with day-to-day site operations
- Lead and direct a crew of formwork carpenters
- Read and interpret structural drawings
- Set out and construct formwork for high-rise concrete structures
- Complete hands-on formwork carpentry when required
- Coordinate with steel fixers, concreters and other site trades
- Keep the crew productive and work progressing to programme
- Quick stair systems experience is essential
- No jump forms or screens involved

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Leading Hand Formwork Carpenter




- Solid commercial/high-rise formwork experience
- Solid understanding of formwork systems and structural concrete
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings
- Confident directing and managing a formwork crew
- Quick stair systems experience essential
- Construction White Card
- Own tools and reliable transport
- Available to start ASAP
