We are working with a growing renewable energy business looking for a mid-level Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join the team on an initial contract through to the end of the year.

The business is a well-backed renewable energy and infrastructure business with a growing Australian operation. They develop, fund and operate energy infrastructure for commercial customers and have a significant pipeline of projects to deliver.

You’ll be working with a well-known and highly regarded General Counsel, who is well liked by lawyers who have worked with them, and you will join and work alongside a strong legal, development and delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

- Reviewing, negotiating and executing customer, supplier and project agreements
- Working with established master documents and contracting frameworks
- Supporting projects through development, construction, financing, delivery and operations
- Procurement, construction and operational contracting
- Ensuring projects comply with agreed contractual and financing frameworks




- Working closely with the development and delivery teams across a busy portfolio of projects

Candidate Requirements

- Must hold a current Australian practising certificate and have experience within private practice.
- You don’t need to come from renewable energy. Experience is desirable across construction, procurement, infrastructure and other project based environments.
- You’ll need to be commercial, pragmatic and confident with contracts, comfortable managing competing priorities and able to provide practical advice in a rapid-moving business.

The initial contract will run through to at least the end of the year, with flexibility around commencement and the potential to transition into a permanent role, subject to internal approvals.
