Who are we looking for?
We're partnering with a growing retirement living organisation to appoint an experienced Legal Counsel to support its expanding business and contribute to delivering positive outcomes for residents and communities.
This is a broad and commercially focused role, working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the business. You will provide pragmatic legal advice, support strategic projects and acquisitions,
and play an integral role in shaping legal, compliance, and operational initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of business matters.
- Manage resident contract templates, disclosure statements and community-related documents.
- Advise on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management matters.
- Manage disputes, regulatory enquiries and external legal advisers where required.
- Manage retirement village unit resales, working closely with sales, and external law firms.
To join us, you will:
- Have at least 5 years PQE ideally gained from top or mid-tier law firms or in-house, with solid legal training.
- Bring experience across property, commercial, corporate or regulatory legal matters.
- Have strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Retirement living sector experience will be highly regarded.
