New Farm Travel is seeking an experienced retail travel consultant to create premium, tailor-made holidays for our established and growing client base.

This is a full-time position at our Merthyr Village agency, with some flexibility available for the right experienced consultant.

The opportunity

You will manage the complete client journey—from the first conversation through to the welcome home.

You will have the time and responsibility to understand what matters to each client, apply your knowledge and create considered travel solutions rather than simply process bookings.

You will:

- Design complex domestic and international leisure itineraries.

- Curate premium air, accommodation, cruise, touring and private experiences.

- Manage client files from enquiry and quotation through to final documentation.

- Provide accurate advice on fares,



supplier conditions, insurance and travel requirements.

- Nurture established client relationships and generate repeat business and referrals.

- Build trusted relationships with premium suppliers and industry partners.

- Work confidently towards individual sales, service and commercial goals.

- Deliver a consistent, highly personalised experience from enquiry to welcome home.

About you

This vacancy is for an experienced retail travel consultant and is not an entry-level travel position.

You will bring

- Demonstrated experience as a retail leisure travel consultant.

- Confidence creating complex international and multi-destination itineraries.

- Experience managing customer files from initial enquiry to completed travel.

- Proficiency with a GDS and retail travel booking systems.

- Robust premium-product, destination, airfare, cruise or touring knowledge.

- A proven ability to build long-term client relationships.

- Commercial confidence working towards sales and service goals.

- Excellent organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.

- A skilled, warm and genuinely personal communication style.

Amadeus or ResWorld experience would be advantageous, although experience with other GDS and retail travel systems will also be considered.

A personal client following would be welcomed, but it is not essential. What matters most is your ability to earn trust, deliver exceptional advice and develop enduring client relationships.
