Machine Operator | Thomastown VIC | Temp to Perm Opportunity

$37.00 per hour + Overtime | Day Shift | Permanent Opportunity After 6 Months

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a leading manufacturing business? We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Machine Operator to join a busy production team based in Thomastown.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering an attractive hourly rate, regular overtime, and the opportunity to transition into a permanent role after six months.

Location:Thomastown VIC

Hours: Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm The Role

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment while ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment
- Follow production schedules and work instructions
- Mix, batch, package and handle adhesive and chemical-based products
- Conduct quality checks and maintain production records
- Perform routine machine inspections and basic troubleshooting
- Assist with material handling and stock movements
- Maintain a clean, protected and organised work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production team

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:




- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or process environment
- Experience operating manufacturing or processing machinery
- Exposure to mixing, batching, packaging or handling chemical-based products
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and record keeping
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Current LF Forklift Licence

Highly Desirable
- Experience within chemical, paint, coatings, adhesives, food, pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing environments
- Combined warehouse and production experience
