Selected Seeds Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator/Warehouse Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis in Pittsworth, QLD. This role is crucial to our operations, combining hands-on machinery operation with warehouse support duties. You will work in a dynamic environment, contributing directly to the efficient processing and distribution of our seed products.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in both machine operation and warehouse management within the agricultural sector.
What you'll be doing
- Operating and monitoring seed processing machinery to ensure consistent quality and output standards
- Performing routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise
- Loading, unloading and organising products within the warehouse environment
- Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation procedures
- Packing and preparing seeds for distribution to customers
- Maintaining accurate records of production and warehouse activities
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all duties
- Supporting the warehouse team with general administrative and housekeeping tasks
- Collaborating with colleagues to meet production and delivery targets
What we're looking for
- Previous experience operating machinery or working in a warehouse environment is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and handle items regularly throughout the shift
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing duties
- Working towards or holding relevant machinery operation certifications is a plus
