Role Description The Maintenance Fitter role is a full-time, in office position located at our manufacturing facility in Adelaide, SA. The role involves carrying out routine and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Daily tasks include inspecting plant assets, diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs and replacements, and executing preventive maintenance schedules.

The Maintenance

Fitter will collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime, maintain tooling and fittings, and keep accurate maintenance records.



The role also includes adherence to safety procedures, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting smooth manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in plant maintenance, including inspection, fault finding, and upkeep of manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, with the ability to plan and carry out scheduled servicing to reduce breakdowns.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Competence in fitting work, such as assembly, alignment, and installation of mechanical components.
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, or equivalent) and demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices and ability to work safely with tools, machinery, and materials.
- Ability to read technical drawings, use diagnostic tools, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Effective communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
