Yates Powder Coating is a long-established powder coating business in Banyo with a culture built on quality coating, continuous improvement and a great work setting. Our plant runs multiple coating lines, with 1 conveyor line, and keeping it running is one of the most important jobs in the building.
We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Fitter to own the maintenance and upkeep of our plant and equipment. This is an autonomous role reporting directly to the General Manager.
What you'll do
- Maintain all plant and equipment across the factory
- Run the preventive maintenance program and keep it documented
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and get lines back up fast
- Schedule repair work outside production hours to keep the factory moving
- Carry out repairs to jigs, product handling equipment and general plant
- Order parts and manage maintenance supplies
The equipment you'll work on Conveyorised powder coating lines, industrial curing ovens, abrasive blasting systems, pre-treatment plant, pneumatics, pumps, bearings and drives.
What you'll bring
- A trade background in fitting and turning or similar (mechanical trade qualification well regarded)
- Experience in a similar plant maintenance role
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Welding ability across steel and aluminium
- A genuine focus on workplace health and safety
- Good communication and the flexibility to work around production schedules
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)

Pay: $39.00 – $41.00 per hour Expected hours: 38.0 per week
