The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Maintenance Manager to take end-to-end ownership of maintenance operations, shift performance, personnel management, and financial control across our high-tempo food manufacturing plant.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will lead our cross-shift maintenance teams, drive PM completion, eliminate operational bottlenecks, and maintain 100% plant availability—all while embedding an uncompromising safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Operational Availability & Asset Performance: Lead PM execution, manage work-order backlogs, and drive key operational metrics and line downtime.

- Team Leadership & Shift Governance: Conduct daily operational reviews, oversee Day/Night shift rotations, foster technical skill growth, and resolve cross-shift variances.

- Financial & Workforce Control: Manage the budgets, contractor costs, and stock variance. Control overtime and casual spend while overseeing timesheet approvals.

- WHS & Compliance: Enforce site safety standards, maintain strict Permit-to-Work compliance (LOTO, Hot Work, Working at Heights), and lead safety investigations.

- Inventory & Vendor Governance: Direct spare parts inventory accuracy, streamline store room operations,



and manage supplier performance and lead times.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

5+ years in a senior leadership role within a high-speed FMCG food/meat manufacturing environment.

Technical Expertise

Advanced knowledge of preventative/corrective maintenance strategies, plant reliability, and engineering risk management.

Systems

High proficiency in CMMS platforms (MEX, SAP) and workforce/payroll systems.

Governance

Demonstrated capability managing budgets, labour spend, and spare parts inventory.

Safety Leadership

Proven track record enforcing strict WHS protocols, RAMS, Permit-to-Work systems, and root-cause safety audits.
