Maintenance Trades Assistant (TA) | Pinkenba & Carole Park
$38 - $44 per hour | Temp to Permanent Opportunity | Overtime Available
We are currently seeking two motivated and reliable Maintenance Trades Assistants to join our maintenance team at our Queensland operations. One role is based in Pinkenba and the other in Carole Park.
This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically minded individuals looking to develop their skills within a supportive maintenance team. Full site-specific training will be provided, and the successful candidates will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Trades Assistant, you will support the site maintenance team in ensuring equipment, machinery, and facilities remain operational and maintained to a high standard. These positions play a critical role in keeping site operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Support maintenance trades personnel with daily tasks
- Do minor repairs, such as fixing leaky faucets, unclogging drains, or repairing doors and fences
- Monitor burner systems, HVAC, and other building systems to ensure they are functioning properly
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and maintenance work
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with equipment inspections and servicing
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all site safety procedures and company policies
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in a Trades Assistant, Maintenance Assistant, Labourer, or similar role
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible attitude with willingness to work overtime and weekends when required
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
Highly Desirable
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence
- Working at Heights Ticket
- Forklift Licence
- Other high-risk work licences or tickets

Working Hours
