Organisational Context
Territory Generation is a Government Owned Corporation that was formed in 2014. We produce the majority of the electricity to provide power to the people of the Northern Territory. Our vision is to be the Northern Territory’s trusted and respected energy services business.

Leadership Responsibilities
As part of the leadership team, you are accountable for building, communicating and achieving the shared vision for Territory
Generation. Key responsibilities:
- Share a clear Vision for the future of the organisation;

Role Responsibilities
You will provide executive level professional advice and strategic management on the development of new energy solutions projects incorporating new energy technologies aimed at meeting customer demand and improving business outcomes for Territory Generation.
Your accountabilities include:
1. Provide high level expert advice on the identification, development and implementation of new business opportunities for
Territory Generation.
1. Provide high level technical advice and information to assist with the formulation of the company’s long-term new energy vision,
mission and operating principles and the development of high-level strategies to support them.
1. Lead the development of strategic major capital and operational projects, from initiation to final investment decision, including
delivery of technical specifications for tender, and negotiation of all primary supply contracts for a project.
1. Develop business cases based on embracing new and disruptive technologies as well as efficiency improvement of thermal (gas
fired) generation and the expansion into new markets.
1. Develop and implement new energy policies, procedures, and system support, and governance and risk management frameworks
to enable rapid action and response to change.
1. Oversee the development of ten-year investment and energy strategies for each of TGen’s five existing grids in line with TGen
and NTG strategies.
1. Develop strategies and options for the integration of renewable energy and storage onto our current grids at the utility scale.
2. Provide high level leadership and strategic direction to the Branch and the staff within the Branch in order to achieve the strategic
objectives of Territory Generation in the area of new energy solutions.

Maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders to project a positive image of Territory Generation internally and
externally.
1. Actively model Territory Generation’s Values and behave in a manner that is consistent with the Code of Conduct in order to drive
a constructive culture.
1. Carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation’s safety, environmental and quality policies, safety principles, corporate
values and strategies.
Selection Criteria
Essential
1. Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Economics or Business Management) combined with relevant senior
executive experience, or an equivalent combination of substantial relevant senior executive experience and education or training.
1. Ability to provide executive level professional advice and strategic management on the development of new energy solutions
projects incorporating recent energy technologies aimed at meeting customer demand and improving business outcomes for Territory Generation.
1. Ability to provide high level technical advice and information to assist with the formulation of the company’s long-term new
energy vision, mission and operating principles and the development of high-level strategies to support them.
1. High level program and project management skills with the ability to successfully manage the development of major projects,
including leading specification development and contract negotiation.
1. Demonstrated strategic, conceptual, analytical and collaborative skills including the ability to solve complex problems and work
within a multi-disciplinary team.
1. Ability to provide high level strategic direction and leadership to a commercially focused team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
2. High level knowledge of contemporary International and Australian practices in new energy technologies and developments
including the development and implementation of long-term sustainability vision, mission and operating principles and of high- level strategies to support them.
1. Superior interpersonal skills particularly in communication, collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution in order to balance
competing demands and influence outcomes.
1. Superior written communication skills including report, proposal and business case writing.
2. Ability to carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation’s safety, environmental and quality policies and corporate
values and strategies.
