Your New Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Member Governance, you will provide practical governance advice and strengthen decision-making across the Member Domain. Working as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, you will support key governance forums, approval pathways, accountabilities, policies and reporting, within a highly regulated environment.
Key duties include but not limited to;
- Support the reporting and facilitation of key governance forums relied on by the Chief Member Officer.
- Provide advice on RAPID decision-making to enable clear accountability and informed decisions.
- Support reviews of policies and standards for which the Chief Member Officer is accountable.
- Advise stakeholders on governance, accountabilities, delegations, approval pathways, reporting and the Financial Accountability Regime.
- Partner across the Member Domain and broader AustralianSuper business to strengthen governance practices.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and advocate for better governance through clear, influential communication.
What You’ll Need
- At least six years’ experience in corporate governance, ideally within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
- A tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, law, business, accounting, risk or governance.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills,
with the ability to balance governance requirements and commercial priorities.
- Strong analytical, research, problem-solving and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Hold an accreditation in Risk Management from a recognised body like Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or Governance Institute of Australia (GIA), or be willing to obtain one after joining AustralianSuper.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and translate external regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes
