Alkimos Baptist College is seeking to employ a highly motivated and passionate educator in the Secondary School teaching Marine and Maritime Studies (General) in years 11 & 12 commencing in January 2027. Additional teaching areas could include Science, Phys Ed Studies or a combination of these. Part time teaching opportunities may also be considered for a suitable candidate.

Alkimos Baptist College is located in Merriwa and is a co-educational College that commenced in 2011 and has approximately 370 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Selection Criteria

Essential

- To have a personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ including regular church attendance and a lifestyle consistent with the expectations of Christian faith
- Be eligible to register to teach with the TRBWA, hold a Working With Children Check and have a commitment to child safety and wellbeing

Highly Desired Qualities

- Be highly motivated and organised, able to work independently




- Have demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum requirements set by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority
- Have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing programs from Year 7-12
- Be approachable, a good listener and an effective communicator
- Have a commitment to pastoral care and extracurricular activities
- A passionate interest in related fields to those being taught
