About the role

CHOP Butchery is seeking an internal Marketing and Content Assistant to join our growing team in NSW.

This is a contract position that can lead to full time offering an exciting opportunity to develop your marketing skills within a dynamic, fast-paced butchery business.

You will work on-site, contributing to our marketing initiatives and helping to build brand awareness through engaging content creation and campaign support.

This role is integral to connecting our products and services with our customers and supporting CHOP Butchery's continued growth in the competitive food retail sector.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in the creation and curation of engaging content for social media platforms, including product photography, captions and promotional posts
- Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
- Help manage CHOP Butchery's social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and tracking engagement metrics
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing strategies and identify opportunities
- Assist in developing promotional materials, including flyers, email newsletters and website content
- Support the coordination of in-store promotions, events and customer engagement activities
- Collect, organise and analyse marketing data to measure campaign performance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity

What we're looking for

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging, clear content for diverse audiences
- Proficiency with social media platforms and familiarity with content management systems or basic graphic design tools
- Basic understanding of marketing principles, digital marketing trends and content strategy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines




- Creative thinking and the ability to generate fresh ideas for campaigns and promotional content
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent productivity software
- A genuine interest in the food retail, butchery or hospitality industry
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment
- Preferred: Experience with email marketing platforms, basic SEO knowledge or previous marketing internship/assistant experience
