About Power Center Company
Power Center Company Pty Limited is a newly established Australian consulting, advisory and business-development platform focused on identifying, developing and commercialising business opportunities in the Australian market.
The company has been established with a long-term vision of building and supporting commercially viable ventures across selected industries. Its activities will combine market research, commercial advisory, brand development, market-entry strategy, business development, marketing and project coordination to identify opportunities and develop them into sustainable Australian businesses.
Power Center Company's initial focus will be the bags and accessories sector, where the company intends to establish and develop a distinctive design-oriented product offering for modern urban consumers.
The initial brand and product strategy will focus on the intersection of:
Design + Functionality + Quality + Accessible Premium Pricing
Rather than competing solely on price with mass-market brands or attempting to replicate traditional luxury houses, the company intends to develop a recognisable independent market position centred on functional design, quality, strong visual identity and accessible premium positioning.
The bags and accessories business represents the first stage of Power Center Company's broader Australian development strategy. As the company establishes its market presence, commercial capabilities and Australian business network, it intends to progressively investigate and develop opportunities in additional sectors. Potential future areas include real estate development, cosmetic and personal-care products, and other consumer and investment opportunities identified through market research and commercial analysis.
Power Center Company is therefore seeking a Marketing Specialist who can contribute not only to the establishment and growth of its initial consumer brand, but also to the company's broader market research, commercialisation and business-development activities as it expands in Australia.
About the Role The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for researching markets and developing, coordinating and implementing marketing strategies that support Power Center Company's initial bags and accessories activities and its longer-term development as a diversified consulting, advisory and business-development platform.
The position will have a robust emphasis on market research, consumer and competitor analysis, market positioning, brand strategy, pricing, promotional strategy, digital marketing and evaluation of marketing performance.
During the company's initial development phase, the Marketing Specialist will play an important role in establishing the market position and commercial identity of its bags and accessories offering. As Power Center Company develops,
the role will also contribute marketing and market-analysis expertise to the assessment and development of opportunities in other industries.
Because the company's initial consumer products are highly visual and design oriented, photography, videography and visual storytelling will form an important part of its marketing activities. Power Center Company also anticipates communicating with both English- and Chinese-speaking consumers, businesses and commercial networks. Candidates with professional photography/videography capabilities and Chinese-English bilingual skills will therefore be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities The Marketing Specialist's responsibilities will include:
- conducting market research to identify consumer trends, market opportunities, customer preferences, competitive conditions and emerging commercial opportunities in Australia;
- collecting and analysing market, customer, competitor and industry information to assist management with strategic and commercial decision-making;
- researching the Australian bags and accessories market during the company's initial development phase, including relevant customer segments, competitors, market trends, pricing and distribution channels;
- developing and implementing marketing strategies, objectives, policies and programs for the company's products, services and commercial initiatives;
- developing market-entry and go-to-market strategies for new products, brands and business opportunities;
- advising management on market positioning, customer segmentation, brand strategy, pricing, product positioning, promotional strategy and distribution channels;
- developing strategies to establish and maintain distinctive and commercially appropriate brand identities;
- identifying target customer groups and developing differentiated marketing strategies for relevant market segments;
- researching and evaluating potential new markets and sectors as Power Center Company progressively expands its Australian activities;
- contributing market and consumer analysis to the company's assessment of future opportunities, including potential activities in real estate development, cosmetics and personal-care products and other identified sectors;
- preparing market assessments and marketing recommendations to assist management in determining the commercial potential of proposed products, projects and business opportunities;
- planning and coordinating advertising and promotional campaigns across digital,
social media, e-commerce and other appropriate channels;
- developing marketing plans for new product launches, collections, projects, partnerships and commercial initiatives;
- coordinating the preparation of marketing and promotional materials, including written content, photography, video, product imagery and digital assets;
- ensuring that marketing communications and visual materials accurately reflect the company's intended market positioning and brand strategy;
- developing and coordinating marketing communications for both English- and Chinese-speaking audiences where appropriate;
- working with designers, photographers, videographers, consultants, developers and other internal and external stakeholders in the implementation of marketing initiatives;
- identifying opportunities for strategic partnerships, collaborations, events and promotional activities;
- supporting the development of the company's digital presence, e-commerce activities and broader digital marketing strategy;
- monitoring consumer behaviour, industry developments and competitor activities and recommending appropriate changes to marketing strategy;
- analysing marketing campaigns and promotional activities against relevant performance indicators;
- preparing marketing reports, market analyses and recommendations for management;
- assessing customer engagement, campaign performance and commercial outcomes to determine the effectiveness of marketing activities; and
- working closely with management to ensure that marketing strategy supports the company's broader commercial, advisory and business-development objectives.
Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- a tertiary qualification in marketing, business, commerce, communications or a related discipline;
- knowledge and practical understanding of marketing strategy, market research, brand management, consumer behaviour and market analysis;
- experience contributing to the development or implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns;
- demonstrated ability to research markets, consumers and competitors and translate findings into commercially relevant marketing recommendations;
- an understanding of brand positioning, product marketing, pricing and promotional strategy;
- experience with digital marketing and social-media channels;
- strong written and verbal communication skills;
- strong organisational, analytical and project-management capabilities;
- the ability to work effectively with creative professionals, consultants, suppliers and other commercial stakeholders; and
- an interest in working in an entrepreneurial environment where the company's products, projects and target markets will develop over time.
