I’m working with an established business in the mechanical services industry that is expanding its team. We’re looking for a qualified mechanic specialising in construction and installation to join the team.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who enjoys working across varied projects, taking ownership of their work and delivering high-quality installations.

You’ll be working across Eastern and South-Eastern Melbourne, with a requirement to attend the office when needed to collect materials and equipment.

The work spans commercial and residential projects, and ideally, you’ll have experience across both.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for completing high-quality mechanical installations across a variety of construction projects.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Installing mechanical systems and equipment across construction projects.
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and project specifications.
- Completing pipework, equipment installation and associated mechanical works.




- Working across a variety of commercial and residential projects.
- Coordinating with project managers, builders, contractors and other trades.
- Collecting trailers, materials and equipment when required.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and compliance.
- Working independently while communicating effectively with the wider team.
- Supporting the successful delivery of projects from installation through to completion.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a qualified mechanic who knows their trade, takes pride in their workmanship and has strong experience in construction and installation.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- A recognised mechanical trade qualification.
- At least 6 years of relevant industry experience, ideally in construction and installation.
- Solid experience installing mechanical systems and equipment.
- Experience across commercial and residential construction projects.
- The ability to read plans, drawings and technical documentation.
- Relevant Victorian licences and registrations.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- A current driver’s licence.
- The ability to attend the office and collect materials when required.

We’re particularly interested in experienced tradespeople with a well-rounded background.
