A well-established Tier 2 commercial and retail builder, based in Sydney with active projects across NSW, is seeking a hands-on Contract Foreman to lead site delivery on a commercial construction project in the Hunter/Maitland area.About the RoleThis is a contract position suited to a Foreman who thrives on-site, keeps trades accountable, and can run day-to-day construction activities on a commercial or retail build.
You'll report to the Site/Project Manager and be responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality delivery of works on-site.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate subcontractors and trades on-siteDrive daily site operations, programming, and sequencing of worksMaintain and update site records, diaries, and documentation via ProcoreEnsure compliance with WHS, quality, and site safety standardsLiaise with the Project Manager, consultants,



and client representativesSupport toolbox talks, inductions, and site inspectionsMonitor progress against program and flag delays or risks earlyAbout YouTrade qualification in Carpentry or a Construction-related discipline (required)Working knowledge of Procore (required)Proven experience as a Foreman on commercial and/or retail construction projects (highly regarded)Strong understanding of NSW WHS requirements and site safety complianceExcellent communication and subcontractor management skillsBased in or willing to work in the Hunter/Maitland regionCurrent White Card and relevant NSW construction certificationsWhat's on OfferContract role with a reputable Tier 2 commercial/retail builderCompetitive rates based on experienceOpportunity to work on a quality commercial project close to home in the Hunter/Maitland areaSupportive Sydney-based head office and project team
