We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Midwifery Educator (CME) to join our close knit maternity team.This permanent role offers flexibility from either a 0.6 to 1.0 FTE and the opportunity to mentor student, graduate and experienced midwives while driving excellence in education and evidence-based practice.With over 1,700 births each year, Newcastle Private is the largest private maternity service north of Sydney, providing care across Birth Suite, Antenatal, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery.If you're an experienced midwife who enjoys teaching, mentoring and inspiring others, we'd love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver education and development programs across the maternity serviceMentor, support and educate student, graduate and early-career midwivesCoordinate orientation, onboarding and competency assessmentsPromote evidence-based practice and continuous improvementCurrent AHPRA registration as a Registered MidwifeMinimum 4-5 years' post-registration midwifery experienceCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or working towardsExperience teaching and mentoring midwives and studentsCurrent NSW Working With Children CheckWhy Healthscope?

Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and Evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment.
Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement ****, a salary ranging from $66 - $79 per hour.
