The shire is a popular tourism destination with pristine beaches, rainforest retreats and hinterland hideaways.ABOUT THE ROLEPositionReporting to the Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for operating a truck and conducting a variety of labouring duties to support the road patching functions of Council's road maintenance team.
The position will also assist in operating a range of other plant and equipment, including rollers, front‐end loaders and slashers, and requires flexibility to rotate among work crews and work across diverse locations and environments throughout the Shire.

energetic and safe.Demonstrated experience in the operation of various plant items (such as tractor/slasher, roller, front end loader, backhoe, etc.) and basic mechanical knowledgeDemonstrated understanding of and experience in road maintenance and construction duties associated with roads and roadsides.Demonstrated experience in and ability to perform a range of physical labouring duties.Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card).
