Doncaster East Daycare and Kindergarten is seeking two full-time Early Childhood Educators to join our dedicated team. We are a small, family-owned service that has recently undergone an extensive renovation and expansion, providing beautiful learning environments for children and educators alike. Our experienced, long-term team is committed to providing high-quality education and care while fostering a positive, collaborative and supportive workplace.

Key responsibilities
n
Take a leadership role within the Toddler Room, working collaboratively with the Educational Leader and other educators to provide a high-quality, engaging and responsive program for children
n
Have experience working with toddlers and/or in a room leadership role
n
Take responsibility for supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of the educational program
n
Build respectful and responsive relationships with children, families and colleagues
n
Provide guidance and support to other educators within the room
n
Demonstrate initiative, organisation, reliability and a strong work ethic
n
Work collaboratively with Room Leaders and other educators to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating workplace for children
n
Be eager to develop their knowledge of early childhood education, child development and contemporary pedagogy
n
Demonstrate a genuine interest in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing
n
Value respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
n
Demonstrate initiative, reliability and a positive attitude
n




Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a professional team
n
About you
n
Have a sound understanding of child development, intentional teaching and contemporary early childhood practice
n
Be committed to ongoing professional learning and continuous improvement
n
Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or be currently enrolled in a recognised qualification
n
Hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications, Child Safety training and Food Safety training
n
Be committed to ongoing professional learning and contributing to our Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement journey
n
All applicants must be available to work a variety of early, middle and late shifts across operating hours of 7.00 am to 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
