This is a fantastic opportunity to be a Social Carer / Lifestyle (Activities) Assistant, you will join our vibrant Lifestyle team creating an innovative and unique program for our residents.
Come and have fun with our residents, play bingo, cards, games, arts and craft and so much more!
You will have an instrumental role in our home and ensuring its ongoing success.We need a person who can assist in our Lifestyle team who has:Experience delivering lifestyle programs in larger residential aged care homesProven experience supporting the implementation ofnew systems and processes for lifestyle activitiesKnowledge of compliance with Accreditation and local government standardsKnowledge of care planning and documentationKnowledge of AN-ACCExperience working in a person-centered care environmentExperience with innovative approaches to dementia care such as MontessoriCompetence with IT systems and confidence learning new systemsCurrent police checkCurrent NDIS Worker Screening CheckCertificate III or IV qualification in Leisure and LifestyleCurrent COVID Vaccination recordWe are looking for a candidate who possesses the following attributes:An outstanding leaderExcellent people management skillsPassion for residents' living purposeful, fulfilling and happy livesPassionate about dementia careCreative thinker with an creative approach to managementAbility to troubleshoot problems and work with the team to find solutionsSomeone who embraces and can implement change managementCalm under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage complaints and conflict in a positive, professional and compassionate mannerStrong time management skillsSelf-motivated, positive person who can work autonomouslyWe would love you to have (not essential):Further education in addition to Cert IVA Full Victorian licenseAbout Embracia in Moonee ValleyEmbracia in Moonee Valley is a family-owned, 141-bed aged care home located in Avondale Heights, offering permanent residential care, respite care and specialised dementia care.
