Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking a compassionate and motivated
Enrolled Nurse
to join our
Day Surgery Unit
team on a
full-time or part time, permanent
basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in preparing patients for surgery, ensuring they feel informed, supported and confident at every stage of their perioperative journey. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced and patient-focused environment.

This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it's set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.

Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour
plus superannuation
and
access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900
+

What you'll be doing
n
In this patient-centred role, you will support the delivery of comprehensive nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse while contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.
n
You will:
n
n
Perform delegated nursing care in accordance with NMBA standards and Mater policies.
n
Conduct structured patient assessments and communicate findings effectively with the RN, throughout the admission and post-operative journey of the patient.
n
Implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing interventions within scope of practice.
n
Support effective discharge planning and patient education processes.
n
Advocate for patients, ensuring informed consent and understanding of procedures.
n
Follow correct escalation processes.
n
Maintain high standards of infection control, safety and quality at all times.
n




Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless perioperative care.
n
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and positive patient experience.
n

About you
n
You are a caring and organised Enrolled Nurse who thrives in a team environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
n
You will bring:

n
Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
n
Demonstrated ability to deliver delegated nursing care safely and effectively.
n
Strong communication skills and commitment to patient advocacy.
n
Sound clinical assessment skills within scope of practice.
n
Commitment to infection control, quality improvement and safe practice.
n
A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive working relationships.
n
Motivation to contribute to professional development and continuous learning.
n
