Accountant (8 months Maternity Leave Cover) – Accounting & Payroll AllrounderFamily Spirit LimitedAccountant - Full-time (8 Months)In this maternity leave cover role, you'll be the steady hand that keeps our financial operations running smoothly.
You'll ensure payroll is processed flawlessly, accounts are reconciled on time, and compliance obligations are met without a hitch.
Your proactive approach and problem-solving mindset will help you spot issues before they arise, streamline processes, and keep everything running like clockwork — all while being supported and guided by our experienced CFO.About us:Family Spirit is a not-for-profit NSW foster care agency that seeks protected and caring homes for vulnerable children and young people across Sydney and regional areas.
Our wish is for all children and young people to experience the unconditional care and support that comes from a strong family unit.What You'll DoManage end-to-end payroll processing using Employment Hero, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian legislation.Prepare and lodge BAS, single touch payroll, pay day superannuation, and other statutory obligations.Work closely with the Finance Assistant to ensure suppliers and carers are paid correctly and on time.Maintain accurate financial records by preparation of reconciliationsComplete month-end close including journals in QuickBooks.Own the process that keeps track of each child/young person's individual P&LIdentify; process improvements and proactively resolve payroll or accounting discrepancies before they escal...Assist with budgeting, forecasting,
