About The Team
n
The role will work alongside the drainage strategy team and support engineering teams in the Infrastructure Department and in support of other operational and planning departments across the organisation.
n
About This Opportunity
n
We are looking for a motivated, talented self-starter to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver a key uplift in organisational capability and position the City of Kingston as a leader in management of water resources.
n
What you'll deliver
n
n
Undertake regular inspections, arrange audits, and implement prioritised improvement programs, including cost estimates to inform annual maintenance and renewal budgets.
n
Embed the operational phase of new Integrated Water Management (IWM) infrastructure into Council's asset management and operational frameworks.
n
Establish and maintain effective operational procedures, management systems and documentation for Council's IWM assets.
n
Undertake site inspections for private WSUD assets and on-site detention storage (OSD) systems, of a representative sample of development types (where access is practical) to assess and report on the extent of construction and maintenance compliance with planning permit conditions.
n
Provide input into the implementation of the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) to ensure that maintenance considerations are fit for purpose.

What You'll Bring
n
n
Stormwater management and maintaining stormwater harvesting systems.
n
A tertiary qualification in environmental science, civil engineering, or a closely related discipline with several years relevant experience in the public or private sector or a lesser qualification with extensive experience in the public or private sector
n
Can work autonomously and take ownership of tasks and projects from inception to completion
n
Excellent ability in stakeholder communication
n
