Located on a beautiful 136-acre property in the Yarra Valley (60 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD), Worawa Aboriginal College is a boarding school for Aboriginal girls in their secondary years of schooling. An Aboriginal-owned and governed initiative, Worawa operates on the philosophy of 'Walking Together to Make a Difference' and this position requires the incumbent to embrace the Worawa ethos of Aboriginal values, Aboriginal-led decision making and the right to Aboriginal self-determination.

About the Role
n
We are seeking a warm, organised and people-focused College Registrar to coordinate student enrolments and provide a welcoming first point of contact for students, families and visitors.
n
This is a diverse role combining enrolments and student administration with reception, student travel, orientation and community engagement.
n
In this role, you will:
n
n
Respond to enrolment enquiries and guide families through the enrolment process.
n
Maintain student records and support ABSTUDY and VRQA requirements.
n
Coordinate student orientation, travel and enrolment documentation.
n
Manage reception, phone enquiries and visitors to the College.
n
Liaise with families, Aboriginal communities, agencies and service providers.
n
Support student recruitment and community engagement activities, including occasional interstate travel.
n
Provide general administration and support College events and activities.
n

About You
n

You may have experience in school administration, enrolments, student services, reception or a similar administrative role.
n
You will be organised, proactive and approachable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
n
You will bring:
n

Previous administration, reception, enrolments or student services experience.
n
Strong organisation, communication and computer skills.
n
Confidence managing records, documentation and competing priorities.
n
A respectful and culturally aware approach to working with Aboriginal students, families and communities.
n
Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
n
A willingness to travel occasionally and support the broader needs of the College.
n
School or education experience, community engagement experience and knowledge or lived experience of Aboriginal cultures and communities will be highly regarded.
n
