With more than 60 professionals across multiple practice areas, we are recognised for our expertise, technical excellence, and strong community connections.Our Brisbane office is based in Nundah, offering the opportunity to be part of a smaller, growing office while having the support and resources of the broader McKays team.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer with at least 3 years post admission experience to join our Brisbane office at an Associate or Senior Solicitor level.You'll manage your own files and client relationships with a high level of autonomy across a broad range of family law matters, including property settlements, parenting matters and divorce.You'll work alongside an experienced Family Law Director, providing the opportunity to collaborate on matters, exchange ideas and draw on each other's experience, while maintaining autonomy over your own practice.
You'll also mentor and supervise junior lawyers, providing guidance and support across their work and professional development.As our Brisbane presence continues to grow, you'll play an important role in the development of the office,
building professional relationships and contributing to the growth of our Family Law practice.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a broad range of family law matters with a high level of autonomy.Provide practical and strategic advice to clients.Draft court documents, agreements, correspondence and other legal documents.Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.Mentor and supervise junior lawyers.Build strong client and professional relationships and contribute to the growth of the Brisbane practice.About YouWe are looking for someone with:A minimum of 3 years post admission experience in family law.Strong family law knowledge, drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.The ability to manage files and client relationships with a high level of autonomy.Excellent communication and client service skills.The ability and willingness to mentor and supervise junior lawyers.A cooperative approach and an interest in contributing to the growth of a smaller office.Why Join Us?
