About the Department

eSafety is Australia's online safety regulator, working to protect Australians from online harms and build a safer digital environment. Led by an independent Commissioner and supported by the ACMA, eSafety partners with government, industry and community organisations to tackle issues ranging from cyberbullying and image-based abuse to emerging technology-driven risks.

This role sits within the Technology-Facilitated Abuse (TFA) Support Service, a specialist national service helping frontline workers and domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) services recognise and respond to the misuse of technology, from digital tracking and surveillance to coercive control. The Service contributes directly to the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022-2032.

About the Role

As DFSV Sector Liaison and Engagement Lead (EL1), you'll be eSafety's key connector to the DFSV sector nationally. You'll build and maintain relationships with service providers, peak bodies and community organisations, and represent eSafety at forums, working groups, conferences and sector events.

You'll lead consultations, workshops and co-design activities, then turn what you hear into insights that shape eSafety's resources, tools and support services. Working across policy, operational and service delivery teams, you'll help translate sector intelligence into practical guidance that strengthens frontline capability and improves outcomes for victim-survivors.

Please note that this role involves regular exposure to distressing subject matter relating to DFSV and online harm. Wellbeing support, including EAP, is provided.

Key Duties

- Build and maintain strong national relationships with DFSV service providers, peak bodies and community organisations, acting as the liaison between the sector, eSafety and the TFA Support Service.

- Represent eSafety at meetings, forums, conferences, working groups and communities of practice to increase awareness and use of the Service and its resources.
- Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder meetings, consultations, workshops and co-design activities that strengthen sector engagement and inform service delivery.
- Promote uptake of eSafety's resources, tools and support offerings across the DFSV and broader support sectors.
- Gather, analyse and communicate sector intelligence and stakeholder feedback to inform strategic priorities and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to strategic projects, sector frameworks and communications that enhance practice and victim-survivor outcomes.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, presentations, stakeholder communications and consultation summaries.
- Monitor and evaluate engagement activities, identifying opportunities to improve sector reach, resource effectiveness and service impact.

Key Skills and Capabilities

- Proven experience building and maintaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders across government, community, not-for-profit and service delivery organisations.
- Strong understanding of the DFSV sector and the impacts of technology-facilitated abuse on victim-survivors, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engagement, consultation and facilitation, including meetings, workshops, forums and partnership initiatives.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports, briefings, presentations and stakeholder communications.
- Experience gathering and applying stakeholder feedback, sector intelligence and emerging trends to inform service improvement and strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of resources, programs, services or guidance materials.
- Solid organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes on time.
- Sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

This is a full-time labour hire engagement based in Sydney with flexible hybrid arrangements, commencing 26 October 2026 through to 30 June 2027, with options to extend. Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a Baseline clearance.
