Tranzworks operates a 100% subcontractor model, delivering freight and logistics solutions for major clients across Australia. We're looking for an experienced Recruiter to own the end-to-end engagement of subcontractor drivers — from first contact through to getting them on the road, fully compliant and ready to work.
This is not a typical recruitment role. It sits at the intersection of people, compliance, and operations — and suits someone who thrives on process, detail, and building relationships with a diverse workforce.
About the Role
You'll manage the full subcontractor pipeline — attracting, screening, onboarding, and inducting drivers across our network. With a confirmed growth opportunity in Geelong and ongoing demand across existing accounts, there's plenty to keep you busy. You'll work closely with the operations team to ensure every new subcontractor meets our compliance standards before they turn a wheel.
What You'll Be Doing
- Advertising roles and managing inbound applications across job platforms
- Conducting initial screening calls and first-stage interviews
- Coordinating and conducting in-person interviews and assessments
- Collecting, checking, and uploading all compliance documentation (licences, insurances, accreditations)
- Managing driver inductions and onboarding from offer through to first shift
- Conducting app training and ensuring recent starters are set up correctly in our systems
- Maintaining accurate recruitment records and reporting on pipeline activity
- Liaising with operations on driver readiness and start dates
- Supporting ongoing compliance monitoring for active subcontractors
What We're Looking For
- Experience in recruitment, HR, or a compliance-heavy onboarding role
- Background in transport or logistics highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail — you'll be handling documents where accuracy matters
- Confident communicator — able to engage effectively with drivers, management, and clients
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple candidates at different stages simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently and owning your own workload
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with recruitment or transport management systems a plus
- A current driver's licence
