We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team and play a key role in supporting wool selling operations.
Working across both the saleroom and showfloor , this hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop valuable industry knowledge while contributing to a dynamic and growing business.
About the Role
Working across the showfloor and saleroom, you will be involved in a range of activities that support the preparation and conduct of wool sales. This role offers the variety that comes with working out in the shed to set-up sales, through to office administration in the delivery of selling services. You will gain exposure to a range of industry participants including farmers, brokers and buyers.
Successful candidates will initially assist across various areas of our wool business before transitioning into the showfloor set-up phase in Goulburn from early to mid-December.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with showfloor set-up;scanning wool samples into boxes for inspection by wool buyers
- Participating in wool sale set-up
- Working in the saleroom recording winning auction bids
- Undertaking post-sale administrative tasks
- Clearing the showfloor post-sale and preparing for the next sale
- Pressing showfloor samples for future sale
- Learning about different wool types
- Work collaboratively with team members across different business functions
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Good computer skills and confidence using technology
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A good level of physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods when required
- Previous experience in the wool industry, or an interest in learning about wool and agricultural industries, will be highly regarded
Additional Requirements
- You must be available to spend at leastone week at our Yennora site during November for training and onboarding purposes.
- Travel and accommodation expenses for the Yennora visit will be fully covered by AWH.
- You must be willing to assist in other areas of the business until the commencement of the Goulburn showfloor set-up in early to mid-December.
