In this role you will:
- Contribute to the development and delivery of innovative, high-quality library services that inspire, engage, and support children, teens, and families.
- Lead and support a dynamic team delivering programs and services for children and young people
- Drive service excellence through innovation, collaboration, and community engagement
- Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement within the library service
- Build strong partnerships with community organisations to enhance service reach and impact.
- Foster positive, inclusive, and customer-focused team culture.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Library and Information Studies or other relevant area of study/experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a children’s library setting, budget management, project management and staff supervision,
with proven capacity to lead and develop staff within a library environment.
- Demonstrated experience in children’s programming/education.
- Strong technical skills and a high level of digital literacy.
- Proven ability to embrace change and engage, lead and inspire others to achieve outcomes for the benefit of the organisation and community.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with robust conflict resolution skills and the ability to deal with difficult customers.
- Proven experience in delivering quality customer service and a positive, professional and cooperative approach to working with others.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with a flexible approach to work and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
- Current Working with Children Check.
