About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Family Lawyer (Senior Associate level)
to join a highly regarded Melbourne CBD boutique practice offering quality work, genuine flexibility and long-term career progression.

A 5% bonus on fees recovered from clients you refer directly to the firm, paid quarterly

Support to undertake Family Law Accreditation
Dedicated administrative support from a shared Personal Assistant, supporting only one other lawyer

What you will be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a broad range of family law matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements, financial agreements, divorce, family violence,



child support and Intervention Order proceedings
Running files autonomously from initial instructions through to resolution
Appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the Magistrates' Court of Victoria
Advising clients and representing them in negotiations, mediations and dispute resolution conferences
Drafting court documents, correspondence and complex legal advice
Building strong client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers
Contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the firm
About you
To be successful, you will ideally have:
5+ years' PAE
, predominantly within family law
Strong technical knowledge of family law and relevant court procedures
Experience independently managing complex parenting and property matters
Confidence appearing in court and advocating for clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop trusted client relationships
A genuine desire to contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
