About the role:
Join a Casualty Claims practice led by a Partner with extensive experience in insurance and dispute resolution and a particular focus on professional indemnity and casualty claims
Manage complex claims for domestic and international insurers across skilled indemnity and financialised matters, including for accountants, valuers, financial advisers, brokers, property managers and construction professionals
Run personal injury and liability matters ranging from smaller files to large, complex and catastrophic claims involving multiple parties, including class actions
Opportunity to build exposure to shipping and aviation claims and insurance/reinsurance coverage disputes across all lines
Work alongside a Partner who is well known and active in the insurance law community,
and who regularly writes and presents on insurance law
The ideal candidate:
Senior Associate or Senior Counsel with strong experience in casualty, qualified indemnity or general insurance litigation
Comfortable running complex and catastrophic claims, including multi-party and class action matters
Strong technical, analytical and drafting skills, with the confidence to manage litigated matters independently
Excellent client management skills and an interest in building a genuine specialism in casualty and financial claims
