About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Bookkeeping professional to join our Business Services team and inspire the next generation of industry practitioners.
In this role, you will deliver and assess the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and Diploma of Accounting, supporting students to develop the practical skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed in a range of financial services and accounting careers.
You will:
- Deliver engaging training across accounting and bookkeeping qualifications
- Provide students with real-world industry knowledge and practical application
- Support learners to achieve positive educational and employment outcomes
- Develop and facilitate training in both face-to-face and online learning environments
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning experience for a diverse student cohort
- Contribute to maintaining training and assessment practices that meet compliance and industry standards

You will demonstrate:
- Experience delivering training and assessment within the vocational education sector
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices
- The ability to motivate, coach and support learners from diverse backgrounds
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience using online learning platforms and digital technologies
- A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently and use initiative
- An understanding of the Financial Services (FNS) Training Package and associated compliance requirements
Essential qualifications and experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent (minimum requirement)
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (minimum requirement)
- Diploma of Accounting (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience using Xero accounting software
- Registration with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) is preferred

Mandatory requirements
- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance

Please note that the Teaching Duty Hourly Rate is inclusive of 30 minutes of preparation, planning, curriculum development and assessment that directly relates to the teaching duty hour worked. This means that where you are engaged for Teaching Delivery, 30 minutes of preparation, planning, curriculum development and assessment marking is included in the hourly rate of pay.
