Warm, flexible Nanny needed - Cas to Perm P/T 2027

We are a family of four (plus two small, friendly dogs) looking for a warm, reliable, gentle and active nanny to care for our two energetic boys, who will be 4 and 2 years old by early 2027. Our beloved long-time nanny is sadly returning home to Scotland after several years with us. We are looking for a special person our boys can build that same, close connection with.

Because I am a Master's student, my roster changes slightly between semesters, so this role is perfect for someone who can be versatile and adjust to a agile schedule!

The Schedule:
For the remainder of this year: casual evening babysitting (Fri/Sat) to get to know the boys and build familiarity.
December: Some casual half-days (daytime care).
Late Jan to Early March 2027: Official role starts at 2 full days per week (8:00 am – 3:30 pm).
March - Mid-Year (Semester 1): Approx. 14–15 hours per week (e.g. 3 half-days from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm). Exact days/times confirmed mid-February once my timetable is finalised.
University Semester Breaks: Returns to 2 full days per week (8:00 am – 3:30 pm)

Key Responsibilities:




Keeping the boys active and engaged without screen time. Managing a transition to quiet play, drawing or reading with the 4yo while the 2yo takes his midday nap.
Outings & Kinder Runs: Taking the boys to local parks and the library. Managing morning drop-offs for our 4-year-old at kindergarten using public transport (he attends 3 days a week).
Preparing snacks and meals.
Light Household Help: Folding the kids' clean laundry, unstacking the dishwasher and ensuring play areas are tidied up together after activities.

Our 4yo is anaphylactic to nuts and is currently outgrowing an egg allergy. It is essential that you feel confident and competent identifying reactions and administering an EpiPen if an emergency arises.

We are seeking a mature adult with experience who can commit to the full 2027 calendar year. It is key that you are reliable and arrive on time. This position requires someone who can confidently manage toddler boundaries and big emotions with a caring and gentle approach.
