Casual Oncology/Day Infusion Registered Nurse
We are seeking a compassionate and caring Registered Nurse with experience in chemotherapy to join our Day Infusion Unit on a casual basis . This role is vital to providing high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals undergoing chemotherapy treatments. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care, helping to ensure our patients have a positive experience during treatment. The successful candidate/s will have the opportunity to backfill a period of leave from mid October to the end of October and will then have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as operationally required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer chemotherapy and supportive treatments safely and in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide timely interventions as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in line with hospital standards.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families throughout the treatment journey.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, and supportive work environment.
ABOUT YOU
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse, Division 1 with AHPRA.
- Experience in chemotherapy, with sound knowledge of oncology nursing practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support patients and families compassionately.
- Strong teamwork, empathy, and adaptability in a quick-paced clinical environment.
