Providore on Hastings is seeking an experienced Barista to join our team. Located at the Paris end of Hastings Street, we service resort guests and visitors with amazing coffee, breakfast, lunch and provisions. We celebrate local produce and offer premium coffee, gourmet bites, and local products through our gourmet grocery offering.
Key responsibilities
- Provide efficient food and beverage service
- Assist in kitchen duties for small menu cafe - light prep, heat and serve
- Work front of house, engaging with customers, and maintaining the ambiance and cleanliness of the cafe
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest has a positive experience
- Multi-task effectively during peak trading periods
- Encourage team values and work as part of a excellent team
- Provide quick, efficient and polite service at all times
- Promote products and promotions in store
- Use the point of sale system and cash handling duties
- Conduct general cleaning duties and maintain stock levels
About you
- Experienced Barista with minimum 2 years as a Barista required
- Food preparation and food handling experience
- Ability to maintain a safe environment at all times
- RSA / RMLV - Certificate (preferred)
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (preferred)
- All applicants must have working rights in Australia and are subject to a Police Check (National Police Certificate)
- Shift availability for afternoon and day shifts
- Weekend work is mandatory as part of the seven-day rotating roster system
