Role Description The Business Controller and Strategic Finance Business Partner is a full-time, on-site role located in Huntingwood, NSW. This role is responsible for overseeing financial controlling activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for the Australian & NZ operations. The position provides strategic financial insights to support decision-making, evaluates business performance, and partners with operational and commercial teams on pricing, investments, and cost optimization initiatives.
The role involves preparing management reports,
monitoring key performance indicators, ensuring compliance with group policies and relevant standards, and supporting audits. The individual also contributes to continuous improvement of financial processes, supports strategic projects, and acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong financial controlling and accounting skills, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Experience in strategic finance, business partnering, financial modeling, and supporting commercial decision-making.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and finance tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), and advanced skills in Excel and data analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturing or industrial environments, cost accounting, and performance measurement in a multi-site or global context.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CIMA) are highly regarded.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, with solid attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, sales, and leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on-site, manage multiple priorities, and drive process improvements and continuous enhancement of financial practices.
