The team is recognised for advising on complex restructuring, insolvency and commercial litigation matters, acting for insolvency practitioners, financiers, corporates and directors across a range of industries. Due to continued growth and a strong flow of new matters, an opportunity has arisen for a lawyer to join this thriving practice. Working alongside highly regarded Partners, you will take a leading role in running matters, nurturing client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members while gaining exposure to sophisticated and high-value disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing advice to liquidators, administrators, receivers, creditors, directors and businesses on insolvency and restructuring issues.
- Conducting complex commercial litigation matters from inception through to resolution, including strategy development, pleadings, evidence gathering and enforcement outcomes.
- Acting in formal insolvency appointments, including liquidations, voluntary administrations and receiverships.
- Advising on recovery proceedings, insolvent trading allegations,
breach of directors' duties and voidable transaction claims.
- Managing court and tribunal proceedings, liaising with barristers, experts and other external advisers where required.
- Maintaining strong client relationships while providing guidance and supervision to junior lawyers across the team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3+ years' post-admission experience in insolvency, restructuring and/or commercial disputes within a respected private practice firm.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex insolvency and litigation matters with a high level of responsibility.
- Strong written communication, advocacy and negotiation capabilities.
- The ability to manage client relationships and legal matters independently and confidently.
- Excellent commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- A team-oriented attitude and a genuine interest in coaching and developing junior lawyers.
