An exciting opportunity has become available at our The Junction Public School. We are recruiting a Deputy Service Leader. This is a newly created position, established to provide consistent leadership across the service. At TASK we strive to create joyful, secure, and inclusive child safe environments where children flourish outside school hours. Our success starts with exceptional people, and we're committed to supporting you at every step.

This is a permanent, part-time Deputy Service Leader role offering 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 2pm to 6pm. Additional morning shifts may be available if you would like more hours. You'll be a Responsible Person on shift, leading the afternoon team and offering top-tier support to children and their families.

Key responsibilities

- Leading and supporting a team of dedicated Educators during afternoon sessions

- Acting as Responsible Person, keeping every child safe, supervised and accounted for

- Supporting children with additional needs, working with families and the team on inclusive practice

- Building strong relationships with families and the school community

- Ensuring compliance with the NQF, child protected standards and TASK policies

- Working closely with your Service Manager and Area Manager, supporting and assisting with administrative duties

- Creating a fun, inclusive, enriching and secure environment for children

About you

- Leadership experience in OOSH or children's services,



such as Responsible Person, 2IC or room leader
- A Certificate III (or higher) in Children's Services, Education or a related field
- A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one

- First Aid (HLTAID012) and CPR (HLTAID009), or willingness to obtain

- Child protection training

- Completion Certificate for Foundations of Child Safety Training (Geccko)

- Experience supporting children with additional needs is highly valued
- A positive, can-do attitude and great communication skills
