About This Role
Your new role
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Forensic Mental Health, you will provide advanced clinical leadership, specialist expertise and consultancy to support the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care within Continuing Care Team North at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
- Provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist consultancy in Forensic Mental Health, supporting contemporary nursing practice, clinical decision-making and positive patient outcomes across the care continuum.
- Partner with the Team Manager and multidisciplinary team to provide expert clinical assessment, advice and support, including direct and indirect patient care and the development of effective, person-centred care planning.
- Lead and contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, service redesign and evidence-based practice, supporting innovation and the implementation of best-practice standards within the service.
About You We are looking for an experienced and highly capable clinician who can provide specialist Forensic Mental Health expertise while demonstrating strong clinical and professional leadership.
- You have advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in Forensic Mental Health, with highly developed clinical reasoning, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- You are an effective communicator and collaborator who can build strong relationships, provide expert clinical advice and influence positive practice across nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
- You demonstrate a strong commitment to person-centred care, clinical governance, quality improvement, evidence-based practice and research, with the ability to lead and support service improvement initiatives.
