About The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our experienced and supportive pharmacy team, providing services across Deakin Private Hospital and Icon Cancer Centre Canberra .

Working as part of a collaborative hospital pharmacy team, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of clinical and operational pharmacy activities while supporting high-quality patient care. The role includes responsibilities across both sites, offering valuable experience within hospital pharmacy, specialty pharmacy services, and multidisciplinary healthcare environments.

We are open to applications from pharmacists seeking either a full-time position or part-time arrangements , including candidates interested in job-sharing opportunities.

As this role operates across both Deakin Private Hospital and Icon Cancer Centre Canberra, you'll need the flexibility and ability to travel between sites as required. Typical working hours are:

- Deakin Private Hospital: 8:30am to 4:36pm
- Icon Cancer Centre Canberra: 8:00am to 4:06pm

You'll be joining a team that values collaboration, professional development and continuous improvement, with extensive training and support available for pharmacists looking to further develop their hospital pharmacy skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver clinical pharmacy services across Deakin Private Hospital and Icon Cancer Centre Canberra
- Perform medication reconciliation and medication chart reviews
- Dispense and supply medications and pharmacy products
- Collaborate with medical,



nursing and allied health teams to optimise patient care
- Provide medication counselling and education to patients and healthcare professionals
- Participate in clinical screening and review of medication orders
- Support oncology pharmacy services where required, with training provided
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development activities

About You We are looking for a patient-focused Pharmacist who enjoys working collaboratively within hospital and healthcare settings. You'll bring solid clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality pharmacy services. Hospital pharmacy experience is highly regarded, although pharmacists from community pharmacy backgrounds with a genuine interest in transitioning into hospital pharmacy are encouraged to apply.

What We’re Looking For

- Current general pharmacist registration with AHPRA
- Australian or New Zealand experience in retail or hospital pharmacy
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with executives, nurses, doctors and senior hospital staff
- A passion for delivering excellent pharmacy services to patients and the wider hospital
- A proactive attitude with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and growth within the service
