Remuneration: $167,023.60 - $169,961.25 per annum

Lead nursing and midwifery operations across Women's & Children's Services

Foster a culture of collaboration, openness, respect and empowerment

Work across multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and service access

Support innovation, continuous improvement and positive workplace culture

Participate in the Hospital Executive on-call roster

What you'll be doing
As the Operational Nurse Manager, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership while supporting teams to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care. You will use your leadership, analytical and planning skills to drive service improvement and manage complex operational priorities.

Lead and support nursing and midwifery teams through coaching, mentoring and development

Drive patient safety,



quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives

Manage resources, performance, risks and operational priorities effectively

Build strong relationships with consumers, staff and multidisciplinary stakeholders

Lead change and improvement initiatives across a complex clinical environment

Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria

Demonstrated senior nursing and midwifery experience, tertiary qualifications and managing services in a relevant complex clinical setting.

Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the service/facility are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive.

Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational, division and professional outcomes.

Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise.

Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking to set goals, formulate strategic plans and policies to achieve identified outcomes for the service and organisation.

Demonstrated understanding and participation in the implementation of organisational change,



risk management, and quality and safety improvement projects in the workplace.

Demonstrated understanding of contemporary issues impacting on patient flow and capacity, and demonstrated ability to engage teams in implementing demand management strategies.

Demonstrated experience in managing complex human resources, work health and safety and industrial matters including high level communication and negotiation skills.
