Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Locum Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant, Staff Specialist or VMO to support O&G; services.

This role is ideal for an experienced O&G; specialist seeking a well-paid short locum block in a supportive regional hospital setting.

You will support obstetric and gynaecology presentations, clinical reviews, management planning, documentation and escalation of care where required.

Clinical Environment

- Consultant-level Obstetrics and Gynaecology cover
- Regional hospital setting within Northern NSW LHD
- Supportive clinical environment
- Escalation pathways available
- Suitable for doctors with recent O&G; consultant-level experience

Key Duties

- Review and manage obstetric and gynaecology patients
- Support clinical decision-making and management plans
- Complete documentation and handover as required
- Work with medical, midwifery, nursing and allied health teams
- Escalate care appropriately when required

Requirements

- Current AHPRA Specialist Registration
- Recent O&G; consultant-level experience
- Robust communication, leadership and clinical judgement




- Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required

Lismore is located in the Northern Rivers region, with access to coastal towns, hinterland communities, cafés, local markets and nearby destinations including Byron Bay and Ballina.
