Bancho Bar is an intimate, high-energy cocktail and whisky bar hidden in the heart of Haymarket’s Chinatown. We take pride in delivering top-tier hospitality, exceptional service, and showcasing one of Sydney’s largest selections of Japanese whisky alongside bespoke craft cocktails.
We are looking for energetic, guest-focused Waitstaff / Hosts to join our floor team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love great drinks, and are passionate about delivering memorable night-out experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Welcome and seat guests with warmth and efficiency.
- Manage floor bookings, walk-ins, and seating flow during peak hours.
- Take orders, run cocktails and food, and process payments accurately.
- Maintain excellent table presentation and rapid turnarounds.
- Assist with opening and late-night floor reset procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- RSA: Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol card (essential).
- Availability: Friday and Saturday evenings are required (shifts run between 5 PM and 1 AM).
- Skills: Confidence carrying tray service, handling busy floor shifts,
and multi-tasking under pressure.
- Service Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to recommend drinks and upsell menu offerings.
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years in a fast-paced bar, restaurant, or cocktail venue.
- Sound knowledge of spirits, cocktails, or Japanese whisky (a major bonus, though training is provided).
- Strong initiative and attention to detail.
