About the Role

Queensland Car Hire is seeking a highly experienced Car Rental Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our Gold Coast car hire business.

We are specifically looking for someone who has previously worked within the car rental industry and already understands the operational requirements of running a successful vehicle rental business.

This is a hands-on management position covering fleet operations, bookings, customer service, vehicle movements and administration.

The right applicant will bring their existing industry knowledge and experience to help manage, improve and grow the operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of Queensland Car Hire
- Oversee rental bookings, reservations and vehicle availability
- Coordinate the rental fleet and daily vehicle movements
- Organise customer vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs
- Manage vehicle handovers and returns
- Oversee rental agreements and associated documentation
- Coordinate vehicle preparation, cleaning and presentation
- Monitor fleet condition and vehicle availability
- Coordinate servicing, maintenance and repairs when required
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve rental-related issues
- Maintain accurate customer, rental and vehicle records
- Coordinate drivers and other operational staff
- Monitor upcoming bookings and ensure vehicles are ready on time
- Help improve operational procedures and business efficiency
- Work closely with ownership and management on the continued development of the business

About You Previous car rental industry experience is essential for this position.

We're looking for someone with:





- Significant experience working within the car rental or vehicle hire industry
- Previous management, supervisory or senior operational experience
- Strong understanding of how a car rental business operates
- Experience managing a rental vehicle fleet
- Knowledge of bookings, rental agreements and vehicle handovers
- Experience coordinating vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs
- Solid administration and organisational abilities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and vehicles simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Skilled and reliable approach
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for daily operations
- Current Australian driver's licence
