About The Role n
The Advanced Skills Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs that maximise student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing. The role involves assessing student learning needs, planning and implementing effective curriculum programs, monitoring student progress, and maintaining positive learning environments.
In addition to classroom teaching, the position provides educational leadership by supporting curriculum development, staff development, pastoral care, resource management, and school improvement initiatives. The Advanced Skills Teacher works collaboratively with students, families, colleagues, and the broader school community, while also mentoring teachers and pre-service teachers to build professional capacity. As a key leader within the school, the role promotes the Department's values, child safety and wellbeing standards, and contributes to creating a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion, and excellence.

A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act ****.

Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award, ****.
