We're conducting a confidential search for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to take on a combined 2IC and Preschool Room Leader opportunity with a boutique early learning service in South Sydney from January 2027.
This would suit an experienced ECT or Room Leader who's ready for more responsibility and wants to develop their leadership experience, without moving completely away from the children and educational program.
You'll lead the preschool room while also taking on broader responsibilities across the service, supporting the leadership team, mentoring educators and helping maintain a positive and collaborative team culture.

About you
We're looking for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who's confident leading a preschool room and ready to take on greater responsibility within a service.
You’ll ideally have:
- An ACECQA-approved Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education
- NESA accreditation
- At least two years' experience as an ECT
- Previous Room Leader or leadership experience
- Confidence mentoring and supporting educators
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Current NSW Working with Children Check and relevant early childhood certifications
- Full Australian working rights, as sponsorship is not available for this position
You don't necessarily need previous 2IC experience. We're equally interested in speaking with solid Room Leaders who feel ready to take that next step.
